Steelhead Marine’s full line of high quality boat crane products are the result of nearly two decades of continuous research, development and constant improvement.

Founder and industry visionary, Dan Thain, had an insatiable desire to create a better boat crane. He employed an aircraft engineering team to work with him to study crane design to create prototypes using aeronautical principles and materials.

Originally located in Mission, BC (Canada), the company stalled for a short time when Dan Thain passed away unexpectedly. Steelhead Marine was purchased by AdvanTec Global Innovations in late 2010 and moved to a new state-of-the-art facility in Langley, a suburb of Vancouver, BC, in early 2011.

Today, Steelhead Marine is part of the AdvanTec Marine Group, a group of companies concentrating on the world-wide marine market. Steelhead Marine along with sister companies, Diamond Sea Glaze, Freeman Marine, Pacific Coast Marine, and USA Sliding Doors share their resources while concentrating on their core businesses.
