Steelhead Marine Hosts Global Distributor Crane Workshop to Strengthen Product Expertise and Customer Support

Chilliwack, BC — Steelhead Marine launched a three-day workshop at its headquarters in Chilliwack, British Columbia, from October 14-15, 2025. The event brings together representatives from four international distributors: Halyard (UK), Morton Marine (USA), Sterling Marine (USA), and Horizon (Taiwan), for immersive training and collaboration.

The workshop was designed to deepen distributor knowledge of Steelhead’s advanced crane systems, including the ES1000/1500, ES2200/2500, and CT2000 models. Attendees participated in hands-on training, technical breakdowns, and strategic sessions focused on installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting.

“This workshop is a great opportunity to build trust and technical confidence with our distributors,” said Jake Burns, Sales Account Manager. “We’re not just showing them how our cranes work—we’re helping them understand the ‘why’ behind our engineering decisions so they can better support their customers.”

“It’s all about collaboration,” added Rob Anderson, Productions Manager. “When our distributors understand our processes and challenges, they become true extensions of our team. That’s how we deliver consistent quality worldwide.”

Gary Tyson, Cranes Supervisor, emphasized the hands-on value: “Getting into the shop and working directly with the equipment gives our partners the confidence they need to troubleshoot and maintain our cranes in the field. It’s practical, real-world training.”

“This kind of engagement is essential for long-term success,” said Rick Nohr, Director of Operations. “We’re investing in our people and our partners to ensure that Steelhead Marine continues to lead in innovation and customer satisfaction.”

Buffy Light, Customer Warranty & Support Technician, added: “Workshops like this allow us to connect with our distributors face-to-face, answer real-world questions, and ensure they leave with the confidence and clarity needed to support our customers effectively.”

Steelhead Marine’s cranes are known for their compact design, whisper-quiet winches, and wireless controls, setting the standard in hydraulic lifting solutions for the marine industry.

This workshop reflects Steelhead Marine’s commitment to empowering its distributor network and ensuring exceptional customer service worldwide.
